Fresh on the Food Map

One of my favourite ways to get to know a city is through its newest restaurants. They tell you what people are craving, what chefs are excited about, and where dining culture is heading next. Lately, restaurant openings have become about much more than food. They are creating worlds of their own, whether that means a lakeside Japanese escape in Hyderabad, a bakery worth crossing town for in Mumbai, or a botanical dining experience tucked inside one of Bengaluru's most iconic hotels.

If your saved list of places to try is looking a little empty, consider this your update. These five new openings across India are bringing fresh menus, thoughtful design, and plenty of reasons to plan your next meal out.

Your next favourite restaurant might have opened last week.

Izumi, Hyderabad

The beloved Japanese restaurant expands to Hyderabad with its largest outpost yet, overlooking a stunning lakeside setting. Expect exceptional sushi, robata grills, ramen bowls, and signature cocktails, all delivered with the warmth and attention to detail that made Izumi a favourite in Mumbai and Goa.

TwentySeven Bakehouse, Mumbai

Mumbai's favourite bakery heads to Goregaon with fresh sourdoughs, flaky croissants, speciality coffee, New York-style pizzas, and cult favourites like the Thecha Chip Butty and Better Than Dr*gs Garlic Knots. Come hungry and leave with a box of pastries.

Brine, Bengaluru

Built around the idea of transformation, Brine combines modern European flavours with Michelin-inspired techniques. Signature dishes include roasted tomato risotto, focaccia with kimchi butter, charred cabbage, and lamb belly, all served in a thoughtfully designed space that feels both grand and intimate.

The Azulian House, Bengaluru

The newest dining destination at The Leela Palace Bengaluru combines botanical storytelling, Peruvian-inspired cuisine, and one of the city's most ambitious agave programs. Think ceviches, open-fire cooking, tequila, mezcal, and gardens that blur the line between dining room and nature.

Dvara, Delhi

Part luxury bar, part immersive nightlife experience, Dvara arrives in Kailash Colony with sculptural interiors, inventive cocktails, and Asian inspired plates. Highlights include Prawn Tom Yum Golgappas, Truffle Mushroom Dim Sums, and creative drinks that reinvent familiar classics.

From Delhi to Bangalore, these openings prove that India's dining scene continues to evolve in exciting ways. Whether you are chasing a great cocktail, a memorable meal, or simply a new place to discover, these restaurants deserve a spot on your must-visit list.

Happy weekend!

Skincare built by longevity scientists — not marketers

Most skincare addresses what happens after your skin ages: the appearance of wrinkles, loss of visible firmness, and dullness. But four PhD longevity scientists asked a different question: what if you could target the cellular process that causes visible aging in the first place?

Their answer is OS-01, the first peptide scientifically proven to address senescent cells — the damaged "zombie cells" that accumulate with age and accelerate visible skin decline. The result: the first topical clinically validated to address visible skin aging at the source. In a double-blind 12-week clinical study of OS-01 FACE:

  • 100% of users showed improved overall appearance

  • 96% improved visible firmness

  • 87% showed improvement in the appearance of wrinkles

  • Barrier strength improved 15%

This isn't skincare with better marketing. It's skincare with better science. And real results.
